We are a year-around retreat and conference center with facilities available to host your event for up to 300 people, including, but not limited to meetings, camps, weddings, banquets, conferences and training events. We also provide private getaways and camping is available.
Bambi Lake Baptist Retreat and Conference Center, commonly referred to as “Bambi Lake” is a 240 acre site in Roscommon, Michigan owned by the Baptist State Convention of Michigan.
There are many recreational activities such as boating, swimming or fishing in our private 20-acre lake, playing putt-putt golf, walking our wooded hiking trails, sliding down Monster Hill in the winter, or just playing ping-pong or foosball in the game room.

Camp Westminster provides a setting for summer camps, retreats, mission trips and outdoor summer worship on beautiful Higgins Lake. The summer camp program allows children and youth ages 7 – 17 to develop a sense of responsibility and self-worth in a caring Christian community. One-week day camps and one and two week residential sessions are offered during June, July, and August. Activities include sailing, canoeing, leadership development, hiking, climbing, swimming, crafts and nature.

Sunday morning worship services open to the public and are held in the camp’s outdoor lakefront chapel.

C.O.O.R is an Intermediate School District provideing special education, general education, career and technical education services as well as vocational training services for adults with disabilities through ROOC, Inc. C.O.O.R. serves Crawford, Oscoda, Ogemaw, and Roscommon counties.

60 acre nature preserve with self-directed walking trails. The trail from the parking lot to the pond is hard surfaced and wheelchair friendly. Nature programs are available to organizations on site; Marguerite’s Cabin is available for meetings year-round. School programs, bird watch walks and nature research is available. Higgins Lake Awareness Day
Since its formation in 1935, the Higgins Lake Property Owners’ Association (HLPOA) has been involved in efforts to “protect, preserve and enhance the quality of Higgins Lake and its surrounding watershed.”
Over the years the organization and its members have been involved in activities such as water quality testing, control of invasive aquatic species, reduction of shoreline erosion and promotion of greenbelts, environmental education opportunities for area students, and collaboration on projects with the Higgins Lake Foundation, Huron Pines, United States Geological Survey, Michigan Lakes & Streams Association, and local government boards and agencies.
